The Travel Monitor records over 48-hours of video on a single-charge, 12-volt battery and 32gb SD card. The unit is self-contained, portable and has an optional Bluetooth Signal Detector pack. Generate average daily traffic and intersection turning movement counts from the same video, along with other types of vehicle and pedestrian data. The optional Bluetooth Signal Detector provides speed, travel time and origin-destination data.

The Travel Monitor Software plays videos at regular and accelerated speeds on either a computer or television. Software features include: an interval alarm based on video playback speed; playlist capability for continuous viewing; pause function to delay the count and resume later.

The Travel Monitor was developed in support of L2DC's in-house data collection services. L2 Field Managers have thoroughly field-tested the Travel Monitor and it is now available for purchase or lease.
